Kove Collection is a luxury hospitality brand based in Cape Town, consisting of two hotels and spas, 15 restaurants, bars and music venues, and a boutique clothing store. In 2022, Sarah was contracted as head of content, editorial and social media, to develop a new content strategy across the holding company and all brands and establishments in the group. This included setting up a new brand for The Nines restaurant in Sea Point that launched in November 2022 (establishing and growing the platform to 24,000 followers), and managing the newly established Sonny and Irene brand across digital channels (growing to 16,000 followers).
Part of the setup involved developing brand guideline documents for all 20 brands in the group and implementing these across each social media channel, redefining each brands’ tone and voice and implementing this across all brand touchpoints, as well as rewriting the official Kove Collection brand brochure and hotel press packs.
On an ongoing basis, Sarah has been responsible for all organic social media content strategy and creation, creative direction across shoots for professional photography and videography, as well as copywriting and proofreading across the group (including newsletters, blog posts, restaurant menus, web copy, campaign and activation copy), from 2022 until 2024.
